SPORT

Drywall systems can help create an environment to help assist the enjoyment of leisure facilities, especially:

• To control acoustic transmission and absorption
• To provide the robustness to withstand heavy wear-and-tear
• To cope with extreme wet areas, like pools and spas
• To create a clean, bright aesthetic.

SOLUTIONS FOR BASEMENTS

NOISE REDUCTION SYSTEMS

OVERVIEW

Modern living has introduced a wide range of home entertainment systems into every room. Sound pollution within the home is becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

Our noise reduction systems give you the ability to control the sound levels around your home, creating a more comfortable environment for everyone.

Installation
The type and quality of installation can have a huge impact on the performance of a noise reduction system. The combination of metal stud and mineral wool will ensure the correct sound resistance is achieved. Installation methods are:
  • Metal stud partition.
  • Metal drylining system.
  • Single and double layer dB Board.

ADVANTAGES

  • Up to 46RwdB sound resistance from a single layer system.
  • 30 minutes of fire resistance from a single layer system.
  • Score and snap installation, the same as standard plasterboard.

Key Specification

  • Available in 12.5 mm and 15 mm thickness.
  • Sound resistance 12.5 mm  = 45RwdB  15 mm = 46RwdB .
  • Fire resistance 30 minutes for both 12.5 mm and 15 mm boards.

FIRE PROTECTION

OVERVIEW

Siniat FireBoard is stronger, harder and heavier than Standard plasterboard and has superior fire resistance, sound insulation and impact resistance in Siniat Drywall Systems.

Several of our other performance boards also have fire resistance properties. Check products below for information on the best board for your specific project.

Installation:

  • Dot and Dab
  • Drylining
  • Metal stud or timber partition

ADVANTAGES

  • 60 minutes fire resistance from a 15mm single layer system.
  • Twice the protection before the wall is breached compared to standard board.
  • Achieves Part B building regulations (fire).
  • Suitable for stud partitions, wall lining and suspended ceiling systems.
Key Specifications:
  • Available in 12.5 mm and 15 mm
  • Thermal Resistance: R: 12.5 mm = 0.05 m2 K/W,  15.0 mm = 0.06 m2 K/W
  • Fire Board can be jointed and finished with Siniat Jointing systems.
  • The boards require priming with Siniat Universal Sealer prior to decorating.

THERMAL INSULATION

OVERVIEW

As energy prices and declining natural resources continue to impact on our lives, effective insulation is more important than ever.

The UK Government states reasonable provisions should be made to comply with regulations to improve thermal efficiency of areas including walls, floors and roof spaces.

Installation:

  • Dot and Dab
  • Drylining
  • Metal stud or timber partition

ADVANTAGES

  • A range of thermal property boards available to meet your specific needs.
  • Up to 46 times thermal improvement over standard board.
  • Reduced energy costs.
  • Warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer.

Key Specifications

EPS Board: Available in 4 thicknesses from 22mm - 50mm
XP Board: Available in 3 thicknesses from 27mm - 55mm
PIR Board: Available in 5 thicknesses from 37.5mm - 82.5mm
Thermal K Board: Available in 5 thicknesses from 30mm - 70mm

PIR and Thermal K Boards both come with a vapour barrier as standard.

CONTROL CONDENSATION AND VAPOUR

OVERVIEW

Prevent the build of condensation on external facing walls and ceilings.

Siniat Vapour Board offers performance level reflective thermal insulation, alongside a vapour barrier preventing warm moist air condensing on wall materials.

Installation
  • Dot & Dab
  • Drylining
  • Metal stud or timber partition

ADVANTAGES

  • Reduces condensation
  • Enables the plasterboard and the metallised membrane to be fixed in one operation.
  • Perfect for internal lining of external facing walls and ceilings

Key Specifications

  • Available in either 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm or 15 mm
  • Silver metallised polyester film back liner which enhances the vapour resistance of the product.

LOAD FIXING SOLUTION

OVERVIEW

Our Siniat LaDura board is one of our strongest boards and has been tried and tested to take the weight of modern everyday fixtures and fittings. TVs, sound systems, shelving and more.  In fact any weight up to 80Kg.

Due to its high strength and durability LaDura board is also commonly also used in areas which are subject to higher levels of knocks and bumps such playrooms and even schools and hospitals.

Installation:

  • Dot and Dab
  • Drylining
  • Metal stud or timber partition

ADVANTAGES

  • High strength and durability.
  • Excellent fire, sound, impact and moisture resistant, meaning one board does it all.
  • Able to support weights  of up to 80Kg. Enabling you to secure shelves, TVs, speakers and other wall fixtures.
  • Installed in the same way as standard plasterboard.

Key Specification:

  • Available in either 12.5 mm or 15 mm
  • Fire resistance 12.5 mm = 30 minutes, 15 mm = 60 minutes
  • Sound resistance 12.5 mm up to 48RwdB*

* Based on an installation comprising of LaDura Board mounted to 70 mm Siniat metal studs and 25 mm of 16kg/mof mineral wool.

Baltimore Tower

Baltimore Tower

The Tower was designed by world-renowned architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM), and features 330 executive suites and one, two and three bedroom apartments arranged around a cylindrical, central core.  All of the apartments will be finished to a high-end specification and have their own private steel and glass formed balconies, which rotate by a few degrees as the Tower ascends to give the building its distinctive, flowing twist.Working alongside SOM, Galliard Homes and the appointed drywall contractors, OCL Facades, Siniat developed a bespoke drylining system to meet the Tower's unique architectural design while offering high-performing partitions.
Ice Arena Wales

Ice Arena Wales

Ice Arena Wales forms part of the £400m Cardiff International Sports Village development project. With two ice rinks and the capacity to seat 3000 in the largest arena, it has been designed to Olympic standards and will be capable of hosting international events in hockey and figure skating, along with other sports such as speed skating and curling. The Ice Arena will also support the development of the national and international ice sports squads. With the arena footprint over 6000m2, the project required over 23,500m2 of boards and over 22,000 linear metres of metal framing. The project is due for completion in Spring 2016.
